Equipment selection guide

Prepare the selection brief

Define the load

Provide maximum and minimum flow, water chemistry, treatment objective and peak operating load.

Confirm the interfaces

Agree piping or service connections, electrical supply, control interfaces, installation access and the routine cleaning method.

Agree the scope

Specify the included equipment, optional configurations, commissioning tasks, acceptance conditions and documentation required.

Operating principle

How it works

The arrangement uses hydrostatic pressure and an oxygen supply to increase gas–liquid contact. Available head, flow and gas delivery determine whether the concept fits the installation.

Technical approach

Key considerations

  • HDPE / PERT construction is described.
  • The dissolution stage uses the hydraulic conditions of the system.
  • Assess the complete oxygen supply energy boundary when comparing options.

Equipment selection guide

Provide the hydraulic profile, water flow, oxygen source and dissolved-oxygen target. The source’s description of no separate booster pump must not be interpreted as zero energy use for the entire farm.

Questions & answers

Is the whole system energy-free?

No. The brochure’s statement concerns a dedicated high-pressure booster at this stage. Circulation, oxygen supply and other equipment remain separate duties.

Can it replace any oxygen cone?

Available head and process requirements differ. The selected oxygenation arrangement must be checked within the system hydraulic design.
