Equipment selection guide

Prepare the selection brief

Define the load

Provide maximum and minimum flow, water chemistry, treatment objective and peak operating load.

Confirm the interfaces

Agree piping or service connections, electrical supply, control interfaces, installation access and the routine cleaning method.

Agree the scope

Specify the included equipment, optional configurations, commissioning tasks, acceptance conditions and documentation required.

Operating principle

How it works

A circulation pump and injector bring oxygen into contact with water under pressure. Oxygenated water is blended into the return flow; the dissolved oxygen target is set for the species and operating load.

Technical approach

Key considerations

  • Stainless steel and glass-fibre-reinforced plastic versions are shown.
  • Compact pressure contact equipment for oxygen transfer.
  • Coordinate oxygen flow, bypass flow and downstream pressure relief.

Equipment selection guide

Confirm treatment flow, available pressure, oxygen source, oxygen-flow control and dissolved-oxygen targets. Pressure rating and safety requirements must be established for the selected vessel.

Questions & answers

Does the oxygen cone produce oxygen?

No. The source describes a vessel that dissolves supplied oxygen into water. Oxygen generation or liquid-oxygen supply is a separate system.

Is it the same as the hydrostatic unit?

No. The company documents a separate hydrostatic oxygenation arrangement using available water head; its operating requirements should not be mixed with the pump-driven cone.
