Equipment selection guide

Prepare the selection brief

Define the load

Provide both source and load water temperatures, seasonal ambient conditions and the required heating or cooling duty.

Confirm the interfaces

Agree piping or service connections, electrical supply, control interfaces, installation access and the routine cleaning method.

Agree the scope

Specify the included equipment, optional configurations, commissioning tasks, acceptance conditions and documentation required.

Operating principle

How it works

Two separate fluid streams exchange sensible heat across a heat-transfer surface. The approach is passive heat exchange; it does not raise heat to a higher temperature in the way a compressor heat pump does.

Technical approach

Key considerations

  • Modular shell arrangements are described.
  • Removable internal exchanger supports cleaning access.
  • Clamp connections and automatic backwash/control options are documented.

Questions & answers

How is the final model selected?

Provide the design duty, water or air conditions and seasonal operating points. The technical offer must establish the selected model, available capacity and electrical input at those conditions.

What options are included as standard?

Materials, controls, interfaces and accessories are confirmed in the technical offer. Illustrated equipment and optional functions are not automatically included.

Can this equipment be integrated into an existing site?

A retrofit review needs the existing hydraulic layout, utilities, available space and operating constraints. Provide photographs and current operating data with your enquiry.
